Ask an Expert

Caregiving is a role of new experiences for most, filled with challenges and questions that are not readily answered and a quest for guidance that is
not often at hand.

The Caregiver's Home Companion has assembled professionals with expertise across a wide range of specialties to help you answer your questions. In this section, caregivers are encouraged to submit questions regarding their caregiving roles and experiences and have them answered by our experts.

Please note that we are not set up to respond to medical questions; you are much better served addressing such questions directly with a qualified medical expert in your community. Our focus is on non-medical questions that relate to caregivers and those who receive their care.

Each question submitted will receive a response authored by a qualified professional, with questions and answers posted in this section of the site as well as being emailed directly to you. Since the questions and issues posed by caregivers are often shared by many caregivers, we believe this open Q&A forum will benefit many. Remember, however, that while the answers provided are generally applicable, your particular circumstance may benefit most from a dialogue directly with one of the professionals listed in our Resource Directory or a professional within your community.

This area is for you, the family caregiver. Visit here often to see the questions and answers posed by your peers, and, of course, be at ease asking the questions on your mind.
